Six Edgewood High School students traveled to Tyler on Feb. 3 to compete in Round 2 of the East Texas Academic Rodeo Mindset Competition against several large schools.  The competition tests the participant’s ability to think creatively on their feet and to solve a problem within a set time period.  Points are awarded for teamwork, creativity, and the solution generated by the team. J\uniors Mary Sharf, Jordan Beckham, Danae Rivers, and Kassidy Snyder, along with freshmen Ashlie Thorn and Kenzie Smith, won the competition beating out five other teams in this play-off round.  Each particpant is now eligible to apply for a scholarship sponsored by The East Texas Academic Rodeo.  On Friday, Feb. 24, the students will head to Tyler once again for the awards ceremony.
