The Edgewood Bulldogs spent plenty of time on the field during their home tournament March 9-11, playing six times over the course of three days.

Edgewood finished the weekend up with a 3-2-1 record overall, including wins over Caddo Mills, Farmersville and Elkhart.

The Bulldogs opened tournament play early in the morning against Crandall March 9, surrendering a pair of seventh inning runs in a 3-1 loss to the Pirates.

Leading hitters for Edgewood in the contest included Turner Bannister going 1/2 with a double and a run scored, Trey Erwin going 1/3 with a double, Tye Elie going 1/3 and Cooper Hill going 1/3.

Tye Elie go the start for the Bulldogs, allowing five hits and an earned run in six innings.
