Lady Indians one-hit Eustace in 16-0 win
The Grand Saline Lady Indians wasted little time in disposing of Eustace April 4, scoring early and often in a 16-0 shutout win over the visiting Lady Dogs.
Grand Saline got all the offense it would need in the bottom of the first, opening the inning with a single by Sarah Elliott.
After Elliott was advanced into scoring position by a Brooklyn Bolin sacrifice, Emma Elliott singled to left for the first run of the game. Paytton Stanley followed with a single to center. The big blow in the inning came with two outs as McKenzie Vernon homered to centerfield, scoring both Emma Elliott and Paytton Stanley for a 4-0 advantage.
Grand Saline proceeded to add eight more runs in the bottom of the second, and four more in the bottom of the third to push the lead to 16-0.
