The Grand Saline Lady Indians were far from perfect during their game against Mineola April 7, committing eight errors and allowing four unearned runs against the Yellowjackets.

In the end, the miscues proved to be just minor speedbumps as Grand Saline's offense pounded out 17 hits in a commanding 11-4 win over Mineola.

Mineola would take their only lead of the night in the bottom of the first inning, scoring two runs to take a slim 2-1 advantage.

Grand Saline bats came alive in the second and third innings, bringing across four runs in each frame to put up a 9-1 lead on Mineola.

Mallory O'Donnell began the second inning with a sharp single, followed by Delana Meyer reaching via a Yellowjacket fielding error.

After a lineout, Sarah Elliott drew Grand Saline into a tie with an RBI single to left. Brooklyn Bolin followed with a sacrifice fly to give Grand Saline a 3-2 lead.
