Creating, making at GS Library

The Storytime children and the Imagination Chapter helped us create the decorations necessary to participate in the Chamber of Commerce tree-decorating contest this year.  Our tree had 3D printed stars, Texas, horseshoes, and snowflakes to go along with the theme ‘A Texas Christmas.’

We printed off and laminated small historical maps of Texas to use as decorations on the tree as well.  The storytime children and their parents helped by painting ball ornaments which we later filled with snow and by painting paper that the Imagination Chapter assembled into a paper chain.

Creating and making is a big part of what we do in storytime and Imagination Chapter.  And in the coming months the library is going to start bring more opportunities to create and make to the adults in our community.
