Funeral services for Mary Helen Campbell (affectionately known as “Granny Mary”), 83, of Edgewood were held Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Edgewood, officiated by Rev. Jim Ballard and Bishop Casey Cook.  Burial followed at Small Cemetery north of Edgewood.  Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood.

Memorial services for Lisa Kay Guynn, 53, of Wills Point, were held Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at the Edgewood Church of Christ with Mr. Larry DeLong officiating.  Services were under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

She passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 22, 2017, in Tyler surrounded by her family.

She was born Jan. 4, 1964, in Harriman, Tenn., the daughter of Milton Settles and Lulu Belle Roberts Settles.  She was raised in Tyler, where she attended public school.  On June 21, 1982, she married David Guynn near Tyler.  Lisa was a homemaker and enjoyed helping people and taking care of her family.  She loved animals, especially horses and she also helped with animal rescues.  She lived in the state of Washington prior to moving to Wills Point twenty-eight years ago.  She was a member of the Edgewood Church of Christ.

Service for Judy Ann Pugh, 70, of Canton, were held Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Glosup, Bro. Thomas James, and Bro. Jack Thompson officiating.

She passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 in Athens.

She was born July 4, 1946 in Dallas to Harley Usrey and Ima Novelle Cox.

She grew up in Dallas and attended Samuel High School. She married Jerry Pugh March 23, 1961 and they moved to Canton in 1972. She stayed home raising their three daughters until attending beauty school in 1984. She opened her own business, Any Hour Beauty Shop, and operated it for 31 years. She was Christian by faith and enjoyed puzzles, cooking, and working in her yard.

Funeral services for John Edward Turner, 72, of Wills Point, were held Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point.

Burial was held Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Services were under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Mr. Turner was born on Jan. 18, 1945, in Dallas, to parents, Earl Turner and Francis Bagley. He was raised in Mesquite and graduated from Mesquite High School. He enlisted in the United States Army from 1963-1967, during the Vietnam War. While in the military, he received numerous awards for valor and merit, including: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, One Overseas Service Bar and Marksman (Rifle M-1).

He passed away Feb. 25, 2017 in Tyler.  He was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Phoenix, Ariz., to William H. and Florence Therese Wilson Erickson.

Graveside service for Anthony L. "Tony" Swindle was held Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Haven of Memories in Canton with Bro. Don Crisp Teague officiating.

He went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 26, 2017 in Kemp.

He was born on Feb.16, 1920 in the Wise Community of Van Zandt County.

He was in the Engineering Division of the U. S. Army and served during World War II. He worked for Exxon Oil Co. for 30 years in Louisiana.  In retirement, Tony enjoyed fishing and loved to travel. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mabank. 

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Crisp Swindle of Kaufman; son, Michael and Linda Swindle of Hanover, Pa.; brother, Lavon and Floye Swindle of Cedar Creek; sister, Betty Smith of Arkansas; granddaughter, Charlotte Atkins; grandson, Patrick Swindle and great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Aneta Rose Golden, 79, of Athens, were held Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at the Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Lynn Mullins officiating. 

Mrs. Golden passed away Feb. 23, 2017, in Athens.  She was born Jan. 27, 1938, in Canton to Carlton and Johnnie Mae Hallmark Flatt.

She was a Baptist by faith.  She grew up in Myrtle Springs.  She married Charles Ray Golden on June 24, 1954.  They raised their family in Dallas.  She enjoyed traveling, spending time outdoors enjoying nature, fishing, gardening, and sewing.  They moved to Henderson County where she enjoyed her later years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Rhonda Daniels.

Services for Raymond Earl Potter, 72, Canton, were held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church with Bro. Homer Morgan and Bro. Randy Sadler officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Interment followed in Shirley Cemetery, Sulphur Springs. Mr. Potter passed away Feb. 10, 2017, in Canton.

Memorial services for Melissa Lynn Farley, 48, of Longview, were held Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at Lakeside Youth Center in Canton, with Dr. Billy J. Barrentine officiating.  Interment was in Longview.

Mrs. Farley died peacefully Feb. 16, 2017.

She was born March 24, 1968, Amarillo.  She received Jesus as her personal Savior at a Baptist church in West Virginia and laughingly stated she was "baptized immediately afterwards in a creek with ice floating all around her."

She grew up in Canton and attended Canton High School. She spent the last 12 years in Alexandria, La. working for John Deere at E.S. Voelker Company.  She taught Sunday school at Liberty Christian church in Aloha, La. She recently attended Journey church in Pineville, La.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Douglas Monlar and Patricia Jean Monlar of Canton;
