Robert (Bob) Haddaway, 80, of Wills Point, was born Jan. 11, 1937, in Baltimore, Md. to Homer and Georgia Owen Haddaway.  His family moved to Miami, Fla. when he was a teenager.  He graduated from Miami Edison High School in 1955.  He married Janice Elizabeth Cottrell July 27, 1957.

 The family moved to N. Fort. Myers, Fla. in 1971. He was in the Gunite business, building swimming pools for over 60 years.  His company, Haddaway Shotcrete Inc., built thousands of pools throughout Central and Western Florida.  He had a unique talent building with concrete.  In addition to building quality swimming pools, he constructed concrete buildings of all types.  In 1964, he built a giant concrete dinosaur which housed a Sinclair service station.  The building, located on Florida Highway 19, became a landmark in that area of Florida.  The building still stands today.

Graveside services for Michael Wayne Williams, 59, of Whitehouse, were held Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home. 

Mr. Williams passed away early Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, in Tyler. 

He was born March 27, 1957, in Tyler to D.G. “Hoss” Williams and Bobbie Jean Webb Williams. 

He grew up in Canton. He lived in California while serving in the Army but returned to Texas in 1996. 

He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler and was a strong Christian. He was a draftsman for Tyler Building Systems until he became disabled. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Stanley and Lance Williams.

Julia Loughmiller Bering, 90, of Bellaire, passed away Feb. 1, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother and friend. She was born in Wills Point and grew up in Canton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jamie and Aubrey Loughmiller, her husband, Samuel Eugene Bering, Jr., and her sisters, Mary Beth Paul and Jamie Matthews.
She is survived by her brother, Aubrey (Valerie) Loughmiller; children, Catherine (David) Holly, Gene (Jane) Bering, Susan (Larry) George, and Margaret (John) West; eight grandchildren, Megan (Brian) Viktorin, Rachel (Richard) Biagioni, Jessica Holly, Sara (Jason) Maw, Lauren (Marlon Alvarez)George, Jenny (Dustin) Neasbitt, Ryan and Jason West; six great-grandchildren, Caroline and Tyler Viktorin, Léo Biagioni, Brooke Maw, Marla and Raleigh Neasbitt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Finis Gray Flanagan, 86, Forney, formerly of Wills Point, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Canton.

Burial will follow at Haven of Memories Memorial Park under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

A memorial service for Cathy Kay Miller, 64, of Wills Point, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at Cheatham Memorial United Methodist Church in Edgewood with the Rev. Alan Van Hooser officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Ms. Miller passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, in Grand Saline.

She was born March 1, 1952, in Dallas to William Henry Caldwell and Querita Nell Huffman Caldwell.  She was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1970.  She later attended Hi-Tech Institute in Irving.  She married Ronald Wayne Miller, Nov. 20, 1970, in Wills Point.  She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and writing poetry.  Some of her poetry was published. She was a member of Cheatham Memorial United Methodist Church in Edgewood.

Memorial Services for Billie Jo Skinner Reed, 80, of Grand Saline, were held Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home with Kyle White officiating. Interment followed in Woodside Cemetery.

Mrs. Reed passed away Feb. 14, 2017, in a Tyler hospital. 

She was born May 3, 1936, in Grand Saline to David Livingston and Hazel Elizabeth Burke Skinner.  She spent most of her life traveling all over the world with her husband's military career moves, including Spain and the Philippines, before moving back to Grand Saline 18 years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Reed; daughter, Dannie Sue Reed; sister, LaMerle Skinner Adkins; and brother, James Ray "Jr." Burke.

Memorial services for Suzanne Stanley, 78, of Garland are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at Tree of Life Lutheran Church with Pastor Clint Thorson officiating.

Graveside services will be held at Haven of Memories Memorial Park at a later date to be officiated by Pastor David Cartwright.  She passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, surrounded by her children.

She was born in Waxahachie to Casley and Susie DeGrand, and was raised in Midlothian. She married Samuel W. Stanley in 1961.  She was a legal secretary and real estate broker.  She was a member of St. Phillips United Methodist Church in Garland.

She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed needlework and crocheting, as well as watching football and golf; but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
