Mr. Williams passed away on March 9, 2017 in Athens.  He was born Dec. 8, 1961 in Hialeah, Fla.  If desired, memorials can be made to the ASPCA.

Services for Donald Ray “Deacon” Dunn, 77, of Farmers Branch, were held Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bobby Dagnel officiating. 

He passed away March 8, 2017, in Plano. 

He was born June 26, 1939, in Ben Wheeler to Orban Malcom and Loyce Williams Dunn. He was an entrepreneur, having owned two restaurants and a landscape business.  Before retiring, he drove for Albertson’s for 10 years.

Billy Ray Knox, 82, of Terrell, passed away March 5, 2017, in Plano. He was born on Oct. 7, 1934, in Canton.

He loved to travel, hunt, fish, bowl, and play golf.  He graduated high school from Canton in 1953, served in the Army and went to Texas A&M.  He worked 47 years for Southern Union Gas Company.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 50 years, Maudie Irene Knox; brother, Truman R Knox; and grandson Hunter Knox.

Hel is survived by his brother, Sammy Jo and Melva Knox; brother, James A. and Linda Knox; son, Robert R. and Gail E. Spencer; son, James A. and Patty Spencer; daughter, Nancy Spencer Marshall; son, Stephen D. and Sheryl Spencer; son, Douglas B. and Julie Knox; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017.

Memorial services for Benny Ray Young, 59, of Wills Point are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Willow Springs Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Craig Locke officiating. 

Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

He was born on Oct. 28, 1957, in Dallas to parents James Calvin and Opal Faye Young. He passed away March 11, 2017, in Tyler.

He was raised in Dallas where he attended high school and was employed by Southern Waste Management, where he learned to drive an 18-wheeler.

He met Stacey Kay Ross and they married March 30, 1991, in Longview. Wanting to get away from the city, they moved to the Wills Point/Edgewood area in 2001, and he was employed by A.S.E Transfer Company in Tyler.

Mr. Dollgener passed away Saturday March 4, 2017 in Canton.

He was born Jan. 26, 1973 in Dallas to William Lynn Dollgener and Oneida Helen Gamon.

He grew up in Canton and graduated from Canton High School in 1992. He enjoyed fishing, basketball, and being outdoors. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas A&M, and The Beatles.

He is survived by his father, Billy Dollgener of Tyler; mother, Helen Gamon of Canton; daughter, Destiny Dollgener; daughter, Chelsey Dollgener; sister, Ashley Silverman; brother, Garett Dollgener; grandmother, Mary Jane Gamon; step sister, Emily Raines; nephew, Spencer Raines; niece, Peyton Raines and sister, Stacy Levin.

Opal Imogene Pierce “Jean” Pierce passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 in Tyler, Texas.  Jean was born on September 16, 1934 to Rufus and Flora Brown in Arkansas.  Jean married James Alton “Jim” Pierce on November 10, 1960 in Samoa, California.

Jean is survived by husband of fifty-six years Jim Pierce, Sons Dwight and Pam Pierce of Plano, Texas, Randy Pierce of Shady Shore, Texas, Troy Pierce of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Barry and Shari Pierce, of Kaufman, Texas.  She is also survived by grandchildren, John Wadle, Casey Pierce, Shelly Pierce, Brandon Pierce, Jackson Pierce, Ryan Pierce and Raigan Pierce and great grandson Zane Guerra.
