The Boles Hornets lost a close one last week, falling to the Celeste Blue Devils 13-14.
The loss is the Hornets first of the season and brings their record to 6-1 on the season and 0-1 in district.
Celeste scored first and took a 7-0 lead into the half but Boles bounced back with two scores in the third. Devan Harris scored the first Boles points when he took it to the end zone.
Just a few minutes later, Cameron Walker would unleash a 75-yard run to the goal line and Boles would be up 13-0.
Celeste would finish the night’s scoring with a touchdown and extra point in the fourth quarter and the 13-14 win avenging their 2012 loss to the Hornets 13-12.
The game was close down to the final horn but mistakes and penalties plagued the Hornets.
Harris ran the ball 18 times for 103 yards, one TD and one fumble. Ross Bostick had six carries for 33 yards and two catches for 26 yards. Walker had a total of 90 yards on the night with 12 carries and two catches for six yards.
