Graveside services for Lucille Hawkins, 96, Canton, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 13, at White Rose Cemetery, Wills Point, with Chaplain Tommy Weems officiating, under direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home, Wills Point.
Mrs. Hawkins died June 10, 2008, in Canton.
She was born April 10, 1912, in Yantis to Lula Mae Gibson. She grew up in the Bright Star Community, north of Wills Point. She married William Thomas Hawkins in 1931. She was a homemaker and was of Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Billy Edward Hawkins; husband, William Thomas Hawkins, in 1969; one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Harry Thomas and Judy Hawkins, Cedar Hill, Dempsey Earl Hawkins, Gun Barrel City, and Roland Dane and Connie Hawkins, Dallas; daughters, Frances Alien Bledsaw, Gun Barrel City, and Helen L. Jones, Edgewood; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
