Services for Bennie “Hoss” Singleton, 80, Wills Point, will be held at a later date. Local arrangements are under direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Mr. Singleton died June 12, 2008, in Athens.
He was born March 13, 1928 in Highland Community to Benjamin Thomas and Alice Gertrude Sims Singleton. He grew up in the Ben Wheeler area, graduating from Van High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict in the submarine USS Bergall. He lived and worked in Lubbock, Huston and Dallas, retiring to Wills Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Frank Singleton; and sister, Pearline Daniel.
Survivors include sister-in-law, Kassie Singleton, Canton; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
