Services for Zonell Miller Skinner, 77, Grand Saline, formerly of Wills Point, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 26, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel, Wills Point, with Rev. Burt Fite and Rev. Jimmy Jones officiating.
Burial was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton.
Mrs. Skinner died September 23, 2008, in Grand Saline.
She was born November 20, 1930 to James Harris and Viola Guess Miller. She grew up in the Hayden Community, near Wills Point. She graduated from Wills Point High School in 1947 and attended Eastfield College. She worked for Thurmon’s Variety Store, Crestwood Nursing Home and Terrell State Hospital, retiring after 15 years of service. She was a member of Turner Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Doris Delbert Warren, in 1963, Rudy V. Potts Sr., in 1995, and Billy Marvin Skinner, in 2004; son, Jimmy Warren; and brother, Doug Miller.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Pat Potts, Longview, Ricky and Darlene Potts, Terrell, and Rudy V. Jr. and Bertha Potts, Wills Point; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Bobby Pirtle, Doris and Mack Moore, and Patti and Gerald Kirby, all of Wills Point; brother and sisters-in-law, Kelles and Glenda Miller, and Elizabeth Rinks, all of Wills Point, and Marlene Miller, Greenville; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
