Rollover Accident

A two-vehicle accident occurred on Quinlan Parkway at 12:47 p.m. in front of the Dollar General store. Several witnesses at the scene reported that a car occupied by an elderly woman entered the roadway after exiting the store’s parking lot and collided with a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. The Avalanche overturned and landed on its top and the other vehicle left the scene of the accident. The driver of the Avalanche refused medical treatment at the scene. All available Quinlan fire units were still fully involved at a major structure fire and a Tawakoni South Volunteer Fire engine blocked the heavily traveled roadway and allowed one lane of travel to proceed at a time with the assistance of additional volunteers.
