Kid’s Safety Day A Major Success
A long line of parents lined up for a free service that was provided by the Lake Tawakoni Regional Chamber of Commerce Saturday
The event offered a free fingerprinting service by certified technicians for children up to the age of 12, and all evidence was turned over to the parents to keep if a kidnapping or abduction should occur. A current photo of each child was made as well.
All material was given to the parents and no agency or person received a copy.
The children raced to over a dozen booths that offered free coupons, food, gun safety information, gunlocks, a jump house and slide, a tour of a Flight-4-Life helicopter, bicycle safety, animal safety, a tour of a fire engine and other events.
A drawing was held for donated bicycles and other prizes.
