Body

May 2, 1935- June 18, 2024

Patricia Bradley Knight went to be with our Lord June 18, 2024. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 2, 1935. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Bradley; mother, Freda Heck; her brother, Jerry Bradley; and loving husband of 50-plus years, Gerald Knight.

She was a very beautiful woman inside and out. She moved to Texas in 1966 when her husband was transferred from U.S. Steel in Kansas City to the plant in Garland. She worked at Rockwell International from 1967-2002. She and Gerald built a home in Plano but moved to Canton in 1973 when Gerald bought property. She was not brought up a country girl, but the peace of living outside the city was worth it, especially since they commuted from Canton to Garland/Richardson for 29 years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed reading, playing games on her computer and assisting with care of her granddaughter. She was a long-standing member of the Canton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Janice Baskin and husband, Steve; son Scott Knight and wife, Rhonda; granddaughter Brittany Leonard Sullivan and husband, Chase, and one great-granddaughter, Lucy Trevino.

Her five-year battle with Alzheimer’s was extremely difficult. We thank the memory care facility, Arabella, in Athens for the love and support they provided during her stay and the South Place Rehab and Nursing facility for a year prior to her passing. There will be a graveside service at a later date for family and close friends.
