One lucky man in Edgewood has won a $250,000 Texas Lottery scratch off ticket prize, thanks in part to Newman’s Convenience Store cashier Mary Erwin. Newman’s, off Highway 30 in Edgewood, is a popular spot for passersby, with a steady stream of customers coming in and out, chirping hellos and goodbyes to the store’s most treasured cashier.

Longtime Van High School Counselor Bill Giles shakes hands with representatives from UT Tyler on the announcement of a new scholarship program for VISD students. Van ISD has announced a new tuition assistance program with the UT Tyler Promise Plus Program (to pair with the current Van ISD TJC Promise Scholarship).
